Advanced Image Processing System
Our Advanced Image Processing System, or AIPS, is designed to automate the image production process while at the same time produce the highest quality web-ready images. The system will even take print-ready images (such as those produced by a repro house) and apply colour correction to ensure optimum quality on the web.
AIPS lets non-technical users crop high-resolution images prior to processing. It will automatically produce both a web-ready thumbnail and a full sized image, and can be pre-set to create different types of pictures, such as photo bylines or greyscale, or to create different sizes of images. The administrator can also pre-set the image configuration to optimise the images for colour and produce them to the required dimensions.
For the content creator, the system is simple and seamless. All images to be converted are copied from their current location into a single drop folder. The content creator then selects the image, and the destination folder and AIPS do the rest – it’s as simple as that.
