The day brought together a wide range of Abacus clients to share examples of Customer Success using our platforms and services. Our keynote speaker Linda Smith, Centaur Media’s Chief Operating Officer, lead off the day with a motivating presentation on ‘Delivering a Digital Strategy’ that was followed by a CEO Strategy Panel which was joined by Tim Potter, Managing Director at Newsquest Specialist Media and Tom Broughton, Managing Director of Assemble Media Group. In a later morning session, Adam Brownsell, Publisher at the Royal Society of Chemistry shared how he is using our platforms to analyse different audience segments to improve reach and revenue within his global community of chemists.

The afternoon session was kicked off by guest speaker Casey Harwood, Director at Engage Digital Partners, gave a dynamic presentation sharing insights on creating data-driven audience engagement campaigns for high profile professional sports teams, drawing on parallels on how our clients can build engagement in their own markets. This was followed by a panel of our clients Rebecca Froley, Digital Product Owner and Analyst at Ascential Retail Week, James Laker, Head of Marketing at IBC365 and Alex Read, Product Manager Wilmington HSJ discussed the different types of Sponsored Content they delivered using our platforms.

Alongside our clients and guest speakers, Abacus staff shared a number of Insight presentations covering our new Abacus Help Centre, Google Event Tracking, creating a dashboard in 30 minutes and guidance on Business Intelligence. We would like to say a special thank you to all of our speakers!

Building on from the positive feedback from the day, we are in the process of rolling out a webinar schedule, with the first sessions covering topics from the Client Day. Attendees from the day can download the presentations on our Help Centre.
