The decision to implement ADvance was taken in early 2013 to replace a “woefully inadequate system” with the system going live in November 2013. ADvance now provides a central portal for the coordination of all aspects of subscription management and catalogue distribution for Christie’s worldwide auction business. The new Christie’s online shop has allowed the Business Development department to independently manage the site without any input or support from the IT department. Online sales have increased dramatically by an average of 90% year on year since the introduction of the new shop.
